The prior notice of the above closure will be replaced by the formal press release once it is available.

Local Christmas Trees (New)
You may be interested in the Christmas Trees available this year from Lodge Farm, Mill Lane, Hoby. Tagging events are being held on 16th and 23rd November – please see more detail here.

East Midlands Airport future plans
With a large number of flights over the village heading for East Midlands Airport, you may be interested in a review of flightpaths currently under way. There are many documents for the project on the Airspace Change Proposal web page, with the downloadable summary document giving an overall view.
With the proposed development of the East Midlands Freeport, as reported here, the number of flights is bound to increase.

Volunteers wanted
The Parish Council are looking for volunteers to help manage the vehicle activated speed signs to be installed in the village hopefully in May 2024. We are also helping to push for improved safety at the A46 junction at the top of Seagrave Road. Please see the Spring 2024 Thrussington Life or contact any Parish Councillor for more details.

Full fibre broadband installation
Congratulations! The pledges made via this link mean that the full fibre broadband project has been moving forward and most homes with orders have now been connected (as at mid-April 2024). Openreach are keen to team up with any businesses in the area who have benefited from the upgrade to put together some joint publicity by telling their stories. Please contact wendy.sycamore@openreach.co.uk for more information.
