Welcome to the Thrussington Parish Village Website
Thrussington is a small village which originated as a Danish settlement on the western side of the River Wreake, almost half way between the City of Leicester and the market town of Melton Mowbray.
The village is a thriving community of approximately 550 residents, and has a very popular primary school, a hairdresser, a public house and a popular delicatessen shop with a tea room. The village church is Holy Trinity and is of Norman origin. Also it has a Village Hall that is in very regular use by many clubs, societies as well as Beavers, Cubs, Brownies & Scouts.
The village boasts several annual events, including the Skittles on The Green, Trinity Fair and various social and fund–raising events (most of which raise money for the local school, church, or village hall).
Fund-raising is under way to preserve our grade II* listed church.
Please see the Holy Trinity page.
